Description
Heliotropium floridum (also called Florida Heliotrope, among many other common names) is an annual herb that grows up to 30 cm tall. It has small, white flowers with yellow centers. It is native to western North America, from British Columbia to California, and is found in dry, open areas, such as meadows, rocky slopes, and roadsides.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Heliotropium floridum is small and white, with five petals and five sepals. The seed is a small, dark brown nutlet. The seedlings are small and slender, with light green leaves.
