Cynoglossum castaneum (also called Chestnut Hound's-tongue, among many other common names) is an herbaceous perennial native to western North America, specifically California, Oregon, and Washington. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a single stem with a single flower. It grows in dry, open areas such as chaparral and oak woodlands.
