Description

Cochlospermum planchonii (also called Yellow Floss Silk Tree, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree native to Central and South America. It has a spreading habit and grows to a height of 15–20 m. It has yellow flowers with long, silky stamens. It is found in dry, sandy soils in open woodlands and disturbed sites.
