Description
Berberis samacana (also called Oregon grape, among many other common names) is a shrub that grows up to 1.5 m tall. It is native to western North America, from British Columbia to California, and can be found in open woods, rocky slopes, and dry hillsides. Its leaves are evergreen, alternate, and oblong-lanceolate in shape. Its flowers are yellow and its fruits are a dark blue-black color.
