Balantiopsis purpurata (also called Purple balantiopsis, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean region. It has a rosette of basal leaves and a single flowering stem. It can grow up to 30 cm tall and has purple flowers. It is found in dry grasslands, scrublands, and rocky areas.
