Asplenium ticinense (also called Italian Spleenwort, among many other common names) is an evergreen fern native to the Mediterranean region. It is typically found in rocky crevices, walls, and dry stony places. It has a creeping rhizome and lanceolate-ovate, leathery, dark green fronds.

Asplenium ticinense has small, white flowers with four petals and yellow anthers. The seeds are small, brown and oblong in shape. The seedlings are small and delicate with long, thin stems and small, oval-shaped leaves.
