Description
Asplenium ruizianum (also called Ruiz's Spleenwort, among many other common names) is a fern native to the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina. It is a small-sized fern, with fronds up to 30 cm long. It prefers moist, shady habitats, often in woods or near streams.

Asplenium ruizianum has small, greenish-yellow flowers that are borne in clusters. Its seeds are small and dark brown in color. The seedlings have a single, long, narrow leaf with a pointed tip.
