Yucca thompsoniana (also called Thompson's Yucca, among many other common names) is a perennial evergreen shrub native to the Chihuahuan Desert in the United States and Mexico. It has a rosette of long, rigid, sword-shaped leaves and a tall, woody stem. It is found in dry, sandy, or rocky soils in open woodlands, scrublands, and grasslands.
