Description
Lachenalia violacea (also called Violet Lachenalia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Hyacinthaceae. It is a small bulbous plant with purple flowers and is native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. It grows in sandy soils in coastal areas and is often found in fynbos vegetation.
