Ilex summa (also called Summa Holly, among many other common names) is a small evergreen shrub native to the southeastern United States. It has glossy, dark green leaves with spines along the edges and small white flowers that bloom in the spring. It is found in woodlands and along the edges of forests, and prefers moist, well-drained soils.
