Description

Physotrichia atropurpurea (also called Purple Physotrichia, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to North America. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a flowering stem that grows up to 1 m tall. The leaves are simple, with entire margins. The flowers are yellow and are borne in umbels. It grows in moist grassland, scrubland, and rocky slopes.
