Description

Lomatium vaginatum (also called sheathed lomatium, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to western North America. It has a single stem that grows up to 1 m tall, with alternate, compound leaves. The flowers are small and white and are clustered in umbels. It grows in moist habitats such as swamps, marshes, and wet meadows.
