Anthoceros jungermannioides (also called Jungermannioides Hornwort, among many other common names) is a small, aquatic, hornwort species. It is native to Europe, Asia, and North America, and grows in shallow, still water. It has a long, spirally coiled seta, and its leaves are ovate-lanceolate and deeply lobed.
Cultivation and Propagation
Cultivation and propagation of Anthoceros jungermannioides is best done in moist, shady areas with plenty of organic matter. Propagation is usually done by division of the plant or by spore sowing. Spores should be sown on a moist, sterile medium and kept in a warm, humid environment until they germinate.
