                        Description
                        
                            Alternanthera crassifolia (also called Thickleaf Joyweed, among many other common names) is an annual herb native to Central and South America. It has ovate to lanceolate leaves and small, white flowers. It grows in moist, sunny habitats, such as riverbanks, roadsides and disturbed areas.
