Bomarea formosissima (also called 'Climbing alstroemeria', among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous climber native to the Andes of Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. It grows in moist, shady forests and is often found in ravines and along streams. It has long, thin, wiry stems and lanceolate leaves. The flowers are bright white and borne in clusters.
