Hydnocarpus polypetalus (also called Many-petalled Hydnocarpus, among many other common names) is a small tree native to India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and China. It grows in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests and moist montane forests.

The flower of Hydnocarpus polypetalus is small, white and has five petals. The seeds are small and black. The seedlings are small and have a single stem with small, oval-shaped leaves.
