Description

Staurogyne novoguineensis (also called Staurogyne sp. 'Novoguineensis' and Staurogyne sp. 'Novoguineensis', among many other common names) is a small, stem-forming plant with oval to lance-shaped leaves. It is native to South America and is found in the Amazonian regions of Brazil, Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela. It grows in shallow waters and can be found in both rivers and streams.
