Hemigraphis modesta (also called Red Flame Ivy, among many other common names) is a small, perennial, evergreen shrub native to tropical regions of Southeast Asia. It has glossy, dark green leaves with red undersides and small white flowers. It is found in moist, shady areas of tropical forests, in gardens, and along roadsides.
