Venezuela: Repair of agricultural roads in El Buey progressing at a good pace

News summaryJulio Rodríguez, head of the Infrastructure and Services area of Piar’s mayor’s office, has assured that quality work is being carried out per the suggestions of Mayor Yulisbeth García to develop an agricultural road in El Buey, Venezuela.

Food for the people is guaranteed by the ‘Por Amor a Piar’ administration, presided over by Mayor Yulisbeth García “La Tata”, who personally joined in the repair of the agricultural roads of the peasant settlement of El Buey, a jurisdiction of the municipality of Piar, in order to guarantee the harvesting, collection and transportation of regional Venezuelan agricultural products to the centers of consumption.

Initially, “La Tata,”  following policies suggested by the Bolivarian Government of President Nicolás Maduro, which seeks to guarantee the food security of the Venezuelan people, repaired, improved and reconditioned a little more than 42 kilometers of the road that gives access or leads to El Buey. Now the work is being reinforced with the support of President Nicolás Maduro, the Governor of Bolívar State, Ángel Marcano, the private sector and Mayor Yulisbeth García, in sectors of El Buey itself, such as Caratal, Los Colgaderos, El Hueco and CVG. Heavy road machinery such as payloader, backhoe, dump trucks and motor grader (patrol) are used.

Despite the arrival of the rainy season, the work is being carried out to the letter, since the objective is that the small and medium producer, the entrepreneur, the farmer, can get his harvest to the places of consumption without any setback. The peasant settlement of El Buey is a producer par excellence of agricultural products such as Venezuela bananas, sweet potatoes, yams, sweet peppers, citrus fruits (lemon, orange, etc.), pumpkin, chives, mango, cilantro, coriander, coriander, sugar cane, tomatoes, coffee, cocoa, bitter cassava (for the production of cassava and other products), sweet cassava, beans, cucumber, etc.

Mayor Yulisbeth García, together with the producers, regularly inspects the agricultural road repair work on site.
