New Holland launches the new TE6 series of wading tractors for narrow vineyards

The new TE6.120N and TE6.150N tractors are specifically designed for some of the most prestigious wine regions, adapting to the narrow French vineyards and any terrain with similar characteristics.

New Holland introduces the new TE6 series of stilt tractors (TE6.120N and TE6.150N), multi-purpose tractors specifically designed for narrow vineyards that need machines with extreme maneuverability and machines with extreme maneuverability and compact dimensions and will be available from the end of 2023.

This new tractor series is inspired by the stilt tractor concept created by New Holland in collaboration with Italian design firm Pininfarina and winner of the Good Design Award and German Design Award in 2022. The prototype tractor incorporated sleek, futuristic styling inspired by the shape of a champagne glass in homage to premium winegrowers in regions such as Champagne, Médoc and Burgundy.

In fact, the new TE6.120N and TE6.150N are specifically designed for some of the most prestigious wine regions, adapting to the narrow French vineyards and any terrain with similar characteristics. The new tractor series is highly multifunctional: it features three independent implement zones for multiple possible implement combinations. They are also designed to offer very fast hitching-less than 10 minutes for the sprayer-and allow the operator to keep implements engaged without leaving the cab, saving time and maximizing efficiency. The new super-lightweight steering system ensures maximum maneuverability.

Thierry Le Briquer, Global Product and Platform Manager for grape harvesters, olive harvesters and coffee harvesters at New Holland, says: “Multi-functionality, maneuverability, compact design and power are the key elements of the new straddle tractor series that is completely revolutionizing our straddle tractor offering. Our engineering and manufacturing departments guarantee the highest quality at the Center of Excellence in Coëx (France), where these tractors are produced and which specializes in grape harvesters, olive harvesters and wader tractors, serving customers all over the world.”

Like the rest of New Holland’s new generation tractor range, the strider tractors are equipped with innovative technologies: the Intelliview™ IV Plus monitor and its rear-view displays provide full tractor control and My PLM Connect® allows operators to manage real-time data, on-board or remotely, to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Ergonomics have been completely redefined with a renewed cab offering comfort and high all-round visibility of the machine.

The FTP Industrial Stage V engine ensures total stability on slopes and hillsides, while the IntelliFlow™ hydraulic system offers balanced power distribution throughout the tractor.

Carlo Lambro, President of the New Holland Agriculture brand, says: “We are very proud to add these stilt tractors to our already excellent range, with a new design that combines our permanent identity with the most innovative features and is inspired by the collaboration with a great design company such as Pininfarina. It brings elegance, comfort and performance to our wine-growing customers and I am looking forward to seeing the tractors in action in the most prestigious vineyards very soon.”
