Beeyo Frankincense Resin — Boswellia sacra / carterii, Somali Olibanum, Select and Standard Grades
About this Beeyo Frankincense Resin — Boswellia sacra / carterii, Somali Olibanum, Select and Standard Grades
Raw graded Beeyo frankincense, Boswellia sacra, also traded as Boswellia carterii, hand-harvested in the Sanaag highlands of northern Somaliland, graded at our facility in Burao and exported through Berbera. Local names are Beeyo and Moxor.
Tears are cream to golden, often larger and rounder than Maydi, with a warm balsamic aroma and resinous depth. This is the classic frankincense scent and the grade of choice where the resin is to be distilled. Nothing is extracted, distilled, blended, dyed, or chemically treated.
Grades available:
Select — largest, cleanest tears, minimal bark and dust
Standard — the working production grade, good tears with natural variation
Sortings — smaller pieces and fragments from the sorting table, for grinding, distillation and blending
Bought by essential oil distillers, incense and bakhoor manufacturers, perfumers, cosmetic and wellness formulators, and importers supplying those trades.
Samples are free, 100 g per grade, with the buyer paying the courier. Every sample bag carries a lot number tracing back to the grading run.
Every shipment carries a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and phytosanitary certificate. A Certificate of Analysis from an independent laboratory.
