About this Coffee

Specialty Organic and Traceable coffee from Single Farm, Ethiopia

Description

YIRIGA CHAFFE SPACIALITY & TRACEABLE COFFEE

YIRIGA CHAFFE is located in the Gedeo Zone, South Ethiopia Region, 380 km south of Addis Ababa. It is known for producing distinctively floral and fruit-toned coffees from different varieties of Arabica. The best Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Coffee dry-processed tends to be medium-bodied, brilliantly acidic and contains rough, fruity, or winy tones. Sun-dried and naturally processed, the single-origin coffee presents juicy, jammy stone-fruit flavors, floral notes, and a heavy, creamy chocolate body.

Specifically, Balese Dinigu, a small-scale coffee producer and exporter, started coffee production on a single farm, where organic and traceable specialties are significant features. Moreover, it pays great attention to the quality of coffee products. To make a good quality coffee, collect coffee charry from a single farm and dry it on a raised bed (1.8 m height and 1m width) naturally. Moreover, a ripe cherry delivery from a single farm/specific plot of land is crucial to ensure the traceability of the product. We supply organic coffee grown in a healthy environment, promoting fairness among workers. Additionally, certified coffee meets all guidelines set by coffee growers and is verified by a certification organization.

The coffee preparation site occupies an estimated 2 hectares of land, and the project site is varied, including mountains, undulating, and flat plains.

  • Growing Altitude: 1,950 – 2,150 meters above sea level
  • Annual rainfall ranges: 1200 2000mm with a wide variation in area and time
  • Arabica Variety: Heirloom Varietals
  • Harvest Period: October – January
  • Production Process: Sun-dried in a raised bed/natural method

As a seal of trust and quality for buyers, we have secured certification from the Ethiopia Coffee and Tea Authority to ensure the best coffee practices and quality. Our products are sustainably grown under the shade tree canopy maintained indigenously by the Gedeo people for centuries. It is favored for its quality, organic nature, and best highland-grown coffee. Our grade 1 is the highest quality offered in Ethiopia, and as such, only ripe cherries are selected and meticulously sorted to reduce defects. This leads to a vibrant and complex cup with many florals, lemony acidity, ripe red fruits, black tea, and a perfumey candy-like finish—finally, a Supply of competent quality coffee that can be exported.

“Balese Dinigu Small Scale Coffee Producer and Exporter strictly works on the most incredible attention to traceability and organic, and satisfaction of our clients by providing high-quality coffee beans. “
