{"id":23739,"date":"2025-11-06T09:36:37","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T09:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.selinawamucii.com\/news\/?p=23739"},"modified":"2025-11-06T09:51:54","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T09:51:54","slug":"worldwide-blueberry-prices-stabilize-early-november-per-international-brands-offers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.selinawamucii.com\/news\/2025\/11\/06\/worldwide-blueberry-prices-stabilize-early-november-per-international-brands-offers\/","title":{"rendered":"Worldwide blueberry prices stabilize early November per international brands\u2019 offers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The worldwide Blueberry Price Index comprising prices by 14 international retailers ended week 45 (November 3, 2025) down 1.1%, showing market stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/italianberry.it\/en\/news\/global-blueberry-prices-down-week-45-2025-organic-premium-standard\"><u>Italian Berry<\/u><\/a>, Carrefour, Walmart, Albert Heijn and 11 others that week sold berries at between\u00a0\u20ac5.73 and 36.76 ($6.6-42.31) a kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cheapest weight category was the 454-gram punnet at&nbsp;\u20ac5.73 ($5.44) while the dearest the 125-g one at&nbsp;\u20ac15.92 ($18.33) minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Offers of 125 grams also commanded the week\u2019s highest maximum price range for all sizes at&nbsp;\u20ac36.76 ($42.31). &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arguably the most affordable when taking into account weight and content was the 1-kg size, which averaged&nbsp;\u20ac12.99 ($14.95).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Helping with price stability despite the slight dip were 57% of the 14 retailers that kept their rates stable week-on-week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While 36% of the above retailers decreased their berry prices during the week, only 7% raised theirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-poland-market-courts-stability-as-peru-supplies-europe\"><strong>Poland Market Courts Stability as Peru Supplies&nbsp;Europe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The same stability was true in actual blueberry markets, principally in Poland, following the&nbsp;<a href=\" www.selinawamucii.com\/news\/2025\/07\/02\/blueberry-price-in-poland-showing-varying-d\"><u>July harvest<\/u><\/a>. Peru\u2019s early season supplies to Western Europe are also helping keep rates even.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before November 3, blueberry prices in Krakow in the country\u2019s south were 0.9% up week-on-week, to minimum&nbsp;\u20ac10.89 ($12.54) \/kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the capital Warsaw, however, the weekly rates remained put at the equivalent of &nbsp;\u20ac6.07-6.28 ($6.99-7.23) a kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar unchanged pricing also informed rates in Kalisz in central Poland where 250 g punnets stabilized at&nbsp;\u20ac3.14 ($3.61) a kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evening out of worldwide blueberry prices owes somewhat to increases in early season sales from Peru into the western world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By week 40, Peru had exported&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sohu.com\/a\/950296507_121123924\"><u>215,000 tonnes&nbsp;<\/u><\/a>or 54% of its 2025 target of 400,000 tonnes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Europe had by early November 2025 absorbed 35% of the cargo, just behind the United States with 44% and China with 15%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, the Peruvian Blueberry Growers and Exporters Association &nbsp;expects this year\u2019s volumes to decrease as the season progresses. Could this whet up the rates of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.selinawamucii.com\/70-foods-that-start-with-b\/\"><u>blueberries<\/u><\/a>, whose popularity lies in health benefits? Skim the statistics below to find out how pricing has fared historically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-worldwide-blueberry-prices-statistics\"><strong>Worldwide Blueberry Prices&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Statistics&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Production is the heart and soul of blueberry prices and is therefore a starting point for any market survey. According to the International Blueberry Organization (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalblueberry.org\/2025\/04\/14\/global-fresh-blueberry-outlook-2025-2030\/\"><u>IBO<\/u><\/a>), worldwide production grew more than double in the decade ending 2023, to 1.78 million tonnes. A year later (2024), global production would score a first-time record of 2 million tonnes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices however continued to change despite the glut, depending to changing patterns in key sources like Peru. In 2023 for example,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxweather.com\/extreme-weather\/blueberry-shortage-2023-el-nino\"><u>Fox Weather<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;reported price surges in the West after the El Nino slashed the Peru crop. Between September and early November 2023, U.S.\u2019 retail rates for blueberries appreciated by 60%, to $6 a pound. The Netherlands likewise saw its imports in 2023 drop by 67% after Peru\u2019s exports slashed by 50% that year. This drove retail rates in Holland to&nbsp;\u20ac9-11($10.36-12.66) a kg.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the early November 2025 context, global prices were relatively stable at around\u00a0\u20ac5.73 to 36.76 ($6.60-42.31) \u00a0a kg. This was per an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/italianberry.it\/en\/news\/global-blueberry-prices-down-week-45-2025-organic-premium-standard\"><u>Italian Berry<\/u><\/a>\u00a0compilation of 14 international retailers from mainly Europe, the U.S. and Australia.\u00a0Peru\u2019s 2025 crop however looked likely to reduce later in the season, possibly elevating prices once again. Any such change affects the U.S. the most since it buys much of Peru\u2019s volumes. For example in the period ending November 3, it commanded\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sohu.com\/a\/950296507_121123924\"><u>44%<\/u><\/a>\u00a0of Peru\u2019s 2025 blueberry exports up to that point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is the historical blueberry producer index in the United States?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given its importance as a blueberry market, the United States tracks farm-gate prices annually.
