The event\u2019s hallmark were agricultural showcases by over<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fruitlogistica.com\/en\/\"><u>&nbsp;2,779 exhibitors<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exhibitions from the host nation, Germany, included&nbsp;an avocado-pitting and peeling commercial&nbsp;robot line by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.selinawamucii.com\/news\/2024\/01\/16\/a-firm-in-germany-unveils-avocado-peeling-robotic-solution\/\"><u>Kronen GmBH<\/u><\/a>. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-clout-from-peru\"><strong>Clout from Peru<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From cross the southern Atlantic,FRUIT LOGISTICA\u00a0also attracted 200 exhibitors from Peru. They were here to promote the country\u2019s clout as a world leader in avocado, asparagus, quinoa, grapes, coffee and mango exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National agricultural associations including those of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/andina.pe\/agencia\/noticia-peru-cements-its-presence-as-exporter-of-fruits-and-vegetables-at-fruit-logistica-2024-973914.aspx\"><u>mango producers<\/u><\/a>, hass avocado exporters and table grape producers accompanied their exhibitors to Berlin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preliminary results show that the Peru exhibition at\u00a0FRUIT LOGISTICA\u00a02024 raked in<a href=\"https:\/\/andina.pe\/Ingles\/noticia-expected-sales-at-fruit-logistica-2024-reached-450-million-974099.aspx\"><u>\u00a0$450 million\u00a0<\/u><\/a>in sales expectations. This is according to the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (FromPeru).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-esg-by-kenya-s-firm\"><strong>ESG by Kenya\u2019s firm<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Kenya\u2019s Kakuzi PLC graced the leading global trade fair of fruit and vegetables with a commitment to the environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standard is currently utilizing Sh. 250 million ($1.6 million) towards that goal. In a statement from Berlin, the MD at Kakuzi, Chris Flowers, said that ESG will enhance ecological and community-enhancement practices. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kakuzi exhibited its avocado produce in Berlin, one of its key produce alongside tea, macadamia nuts and livestock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ukraine-s-exotic-produce\"><strong>Ukraine\u2019s Exotic Produce<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Closer to home, Ukraine rose above reigning differences with Europe over transit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.selinawamucii.com\/news\/2024\/01\/29\/after-poland-road-block-where-to-for-ukraines-grain-shipments\/\"><u>road blocks in Poland<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;by sending 20 exhibitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyiv\u2019s exhibitions were sans its well-known grains and instead showcased mushroom, nuts, local fruit and berries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were also biodegradable<a href=\"https:\/\/menafn.com\/1107830983\/Ukrainian-Producers-Take-Part-In-Trade-Show-FRUIT-LOGISTICA-In-Berlin\"><u>\u00a0fresh fruit packaging<\/u><\/a>\u00a0showcases that sent a message about the country\u2019s environmental protection commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vietnam-eyes-the-german-market\"><strong>Vietnam Eyes the German Market<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other side of the kaleidoscope was Asia with its colorful spice and exotic fruit exports. Vietnam\u2019s delegation, for one, went to Berlin to exploit the ever-growing fruit and vegetable market of Germany.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The General Department of Vietnam Customs cites that fruit and vegetable shipments by Hanoi to Berlin in 2023 grew by 45.6%. By end year, they had reached an impressive<a href=\"https:\/\/en.dangcongsan.vn\/daily-hot-news\/vietnamese-fruits-promoted-at-world-s-largest-fruit-and-vegetable-exhibition-20000495.html\"><u>\u00a0$36 million<\/u><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key fruit exports by Vietnam include&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.selinawamucii.com\/guides\/rambutan\/\"><u>rambutan<\/u><\/a>, mangosteen, sour apples and soursop, while vegetables range from bamboo shoots to cucumber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next\u00a0FRUIT LOGISTICA\u00a0will take place on February 5 to 7, 2025, according to the official website of the event.
