The action of a weather front continues to favour the formation of loaded clouds in the South of Brazil. In addition to this system, from Wednesday (25) a new extratropical cyclone will form, increasing the risk of more intense rainfall in Rio Grande do Sul.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Climatempo, the formation of this new cyclone takes place between the south of Brazil, Argentina, <\/u><\/a>Paraguay and Uruguay. In the period of a month and a half this is the fourth cyclone that forms in the South of Brazil, but according to the consultancy, this time severe impacts are not expected in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The impact of this cyclone will not be the same as the others in July or in mid-June 2023, which caused the great floods and floods in Greater Porto Alegre and in the northeast of Rio Grande do Sul,” says Climatempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, this time the cyclone will not favor episodes of intense rain or wind in Santa Catarina and Paran\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“The most intense wind gusts over Rio Grande do Sul, associated with the new extratropical cyclone, should not exceed 60 km\/h,” the forecast adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the volume of rain, the Cosmo model of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) predicts rain between 20mm and 40mm in the next 24 hours in the center-south of Rio Grande do Sul. The model indicates that the areas of instability should gain strength in the south of Rio Grande do Sul in the coming days, and Inmet even maintains the yellow alert state for intense rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no forecast of significant changes for the other regions of the country. Maintaining the typical characteristics of the dry season, Inmet also maintains the alert condition for low relative humidity in much of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

North of Mato Grosso do Sul, south of Mato Grosso and areas of Bahia and south of Tocantins have orange alert for low relative humidity, which should be between 20% and 12% in the hottest hours of the day. In the other regions of the Southeast, Midwest and Matopiba, the alert is yellow, with the relative humidity being between 30% and 20% on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
