During the tour, Kim Byung-doo president of Taebaek Agricultural Cooperative, and Kim Jun-tae, head of NH Taebaek City Branch had pledged to do their best to inspect and repair members’ agricultural machinery at the ‘Farm Machinery Repair Service Field Launching Ceremony’ held in front of Hasami-dong Village Hall in Taebaek City, Gangwon Province, recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taebaek Agricultural Cooperative in Gangwon Province (CEO Kim Byung-doo) recently organized the tour to repair agricultural machinery for the past two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service was organized to help farmers use their agricultural machinery in the upcoming farming season. Together with NH Taebaek City Branch (Branch Manager Kim Jun-tae), Taebaek Nonghyup visited 13 farmers’ associations in the region to inspect and repair various agricultural equipment such as tillers and\u00a0tractors<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To ease the burden on members, Taebaek Nonghyup allocated a budget of about 70 million won to replace parts costing less than 50,000 won ($37.36) for free and significantly lower repair costs. The organization also provided training on how to self-repair agricultural machinery, how to make it last longer, and what to keep in mind when using agricultural machinery. <\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s been more than 20 years since we’ve been regularly repairing farm equipment every spring,” said Kim Byung-doo, president of the union. \u201cAs it’s an essential project for our elderly members, we will continue to operate it and provide them with a solid support system.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
