Product Description – Ugandan Ginger (Zingiber officinale)

Size: Fresh ginger rhizomes range from 4–15 cm in length with an average diameter of 3–5 cm.

Color: Outer skin is light brown to pale beige, while the inner flesh is creamy yellow.

Taste & Aroma: Strong, spicy aroma with a warm, pungent flavor and slight citrus undertones.

Moisture Content: Fresh ginger typically has 80% moisture, suitable for culinary and processing purposes.

Grading:

Grade A: Large rhizomes, uniform color, smooth skin, no blemishes.

Grade B: Medium-sized, minor surface scratches, suitable for processing.

Certifications:

Phytosanitary Certificate issued by Uganda Ministry of Agriculture.
