Citronella essential oil

Citronella essential oil is a citrusy middle note oil commonly described as “lemon balm” due to its floral, citrus-like aroma. The oil is a mobile liquid, extracted from the grass Cymbopogon Nardus, and has a light yellow to yellow color. It has good citronellal and geraniol content.

The oil is a great product that works as a mosquito and other insect repellent. It is a great household fumigant, food and beverage flavoring, cosmetics & fragrances agent, and an aromatherapy agent for massage and spa.

Citronella essential oil contains citronellol, citronellal and geraniol which have function of antifungal, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, volatile, and well-being. Citronella oil is a raw material for production of geranial, citronellal, hydroxy- citronellal and other similarly high value perfumery bases. The extracts find extensive use in soap, candles and incense, perfumery, cosmetic, and flavoring industries.
