Product Description (Polatlı Onions – 10 kg Bags, Palletized Shipment)

Our dry onions sourced from the Polatlı region are highly suitable for export due to their superior quality and long shelf life. The products are calibrated and packed according to the buyer’s requested diameter range (e.g., 45–55 mm, 55–65 mm, 65–75 mm, etc.). The outer skin color is brown/golden yellow, while the inner flesh is white to cream. The onions have a medium-firm texture with an aromatic taste, providing strong flavor and aroma during cooking.

Quality Standards and Certifications:
Our products maintain a low percentage of defects, with a maximum of 0–2% for rotten or damaged onions. Breakage and bruising rates are kept to a minimum. Moisture levels are controlled to ensure a long shelf life. The product is clean and free from soil, stones, and foreign materials. Upon request, we can provide ISO 22000 / HACCP and GAP certificates, as well as analysis reports (moisture content, heavy metals, pesticide residues, etc.). Official export health certificates and certificates of origin can be issued as required.

Packaging Options:
The product is packed in 10 kg mesh bags (ventilated sacks). Each bag includes labeling with the country of origin, net weight, batch number, and production date. The 10 kg bags are palletized and secured with shrink film for stability during transport. The number of bags per pallet can be adjusted according to the buyer’s requirements.

Shipping Information:
Shipments are carried out via road transport (TIR). The delivery time is approximately 4–6 days, depending on the route and destination country. During transportation, the product is protected from moisture and kept in ventilated conditions to prevent spoilage. Necessary export documents such as commercial invoice, health certificate, and certificate of origin will be provided. Additional documents can be supplied according to the importing country’s requirements.

Seasonal Availability:
Polatlı onions are harvested mainly between August and October, providing peak quality during this period. With proper storage conditions, the product has a shelf life of 6–9 months. Continuous supply can be provided throughout the season, but the highest quality is available within the first 2–3 months after harvest.
