Grade : Alleppey Green Extra Bold (AGEB): This is our top-tier grade, featuring the largest, most mature, and perfectly green pods, typically with a diameter of 8mm and above ( 8mm +) with potent aroma making it a favorite for high-end culinary applications and the perfume
                   Alleppey Green Bold (AGB): This grade consists of bold pods with a diameter of  8mm. It offers a strong aroma and flavor, making it a versatile and popular choice for both culinary and industrial use.

Shape :  Large uniform size, firm plump pods of bright lively green color, strong aroma with high seed density, and low moisture content.    Firm green pods tightly closed protecting the aromatic seeds and essential oils inside. 

Max. moisture content :  in Alleppey Green Extra Bold (AGEB) cardamom and in Alleppey Green Bold (AGB) cardamom the maximum moisture percentage  8-10%      
Maintaining a low moisture content is essential for preserving the vibrant green color and the high volatile oil content that characterizes premium Indian cardamom  and also to  ensure shelf stability, prevent mold, preserve aroma, and meet international quality standards for a premium product.

 Seasonal Availability : All throughout the year The green cardamom harvest in Idukki, Kerala, primarily runs from October to February, with the peak quality and picking period often concentrated in October-November, although harvesting can start as early as June/July with multiple picks through the season
