Coffee is one of the top commodities produced and commercialized In Ethiopia, and the processing of coffee generates significant amounts of agricultural waste, ranging from 50% to 60% of the weight of the total coffee produced, depending on the type of processing. Coffee husks are the major solid residues from the processing of coffee, for which there are no current profitable uses, and their adequate disposal constitutes a major environmental problem. In Ethiopia, 192000 metric tons of coffee is Husk cast adrift as a byproduct per year and there are 134,400 metric tons of coffee husk disposed of per year in Jimma and Welega area only. Currently, we are Providing Morethan 20,000 tones of Coffee husks for the International market.
