Vanilla

Vanilla (both Planifolia & Tahitensis) mainly grown in Maprik District in East Sepik Province, the economic hub of Central Sepik. We are a group of small scales buyers together with some vanilla growers from Maprik District are enquiring for any potentia vanilla buyers to buy our dried beans. Processes taken after nine months when the beans were ready for the harvest are:

 - Beans harvested and stored in a warm dried place without sunlight for one to two weeks for the beans to change color to black,

• -  then beans are wrapped in the warm thick blanket and put it out for sunlight on a daily basis,
