Acerca de este Demon Chilli

The Demon Chilli, also known as the Bhut Jolokia or Ghost Pepper, is one of the hottest chili peppers in the world. Originating from Northeast India, it measures over 1 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is a measure of the spiciness or heat of chili peppers. Here are some key characteristics:

1. Appearance: The peppers are typically red ,green or orange, with a wrinkled, rough surface. They are about 2.5 to 3.5 inches long and 1 to 1.2 inches wide.

2. Heat Level: Extremely hot, with a slow-building, intense heat that can last for a long time. It's known to cause a burning sensation that can be quite intense, affecting the mouth, throat, and stomach.

3. Flavor: Despite its extreme heat, the Demon Chilli has a fruity, slightly sweet flavor when used in small quantities, making it popular in various cuisines for adding both heat and flavor.

4. Uses: It is used in cooking to add heat to dishes, in hot sauces, and for making spicy foods. Due to its intensity, it's often used sparingly.

5. Handling: Due to its high capsaicin content, it's recommended to handle the Demon Chilli with gloves and avoid touching the face or eyes after handling. Cooking or processing should be done in well-ventilated areas to avoid inhaling the intense fumes.

6. Health Benefits: It is believed to have several health benefits, including boosting metabolism, reducing inflammation, and providing pain relief, but should be consumed with caution due to its extreme heat.

7. Cultivation: Thrives in hot, humid climates and requires well-drained soil. It takes about 100-120 days from transplanting to harvest.
